Kate Brehme und Kirstin Broussard stellen ihr jüngstes Projekt UNBOUND vor: Deutschlands erstes barrierefreies und flexibles transdisziplinäres Residenzprogramm für Künstler*innen. Sie zeigen die vielfältigen Barrieren der Berliner Kulturlandschaft auf und welche Strategien sie zu deren Abbau angewendet haben.

1. Herausforderungen bei der Entwicklung von kulturellen (Frei-)Flächen (DE) | Referenten: Jakob Turtur und Nicolai Rohrer, Clubcommission

Im Workshop erarbeitet ihr verschiedene Herangehensweisen zur Erschließung von Kulturflächen. Ein Fokus liegt auf der derzeitigen Situation auf dem Berliner Immobilienmarkt und der politischen Stadtentwicklung.

2. Barrierefreie Veranstaltungsplanung und Community Management (DE) | Referent*innen: Felix Brückner und Elnaz Amiraslani, Initiative Barrierefrei Feiern

Im Workshop lernt ihr praxisorientiert, wie ihr Kulturprojekte auch für Menschen mit physischen oder sensorischen Behinderungen zugänglich gestalten könnt. Wann genau ist eine Veranstaltung barrierefrei? Was sind die Mindest-anforderungen? Diese und weitere Fragen werden die Referent*innen mit euch klären.

3. Agile Urbane Praxis (DE) | Referent*innen: Sabine Kroner, Kristin Lazarova und Nina Peters, Urbane Praxis e.V.

Im Workshop besprechen die Referent*innen Perspektiven aus der vorangegangenen popUP-Woche der Urbanen Praxis. Sie zeigen Potentiale und Bedarfe des selbstorganisierten Netzwerks der Initiative Urbane Praxis auf und diskutieren mit euch, wie die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Bottom-Up-Initiativen und Verwaltungsstrukturen weiter ausgebaut werden kann.

Es wird Verdolmetschungen in deutsche Lautsprache (DE), Deutsche Gebärdensprache (DGS) und englische Lautsprache (EN) geben.

Allgemeine Informationen

Wir bitten alle Teilnehmenden sich im Vorfeld in einem Testzentrum oder am Veranstaltungsort selber zu testen. Wir stellen Tests kostenfrei zur Verfügung. Wir berücksichtigen nur eine offizielle Testbestätigung oder das direkt vor Ort durchgeführte Testergebnis.
Wir bitten, soweit es möglich ist, um das Tragen einer Maske.

Bei Bedarf wird eine Kinderbetreuung angeboten.

Es wird einen Ruhe- und Rückzugsraum geben.

Das Mittagessen ist vegan und vegetarisch. Es werden den ganzen Tag über Heiß- und Kaltgetränke bereitgestellt.

Wir werden punktuell fotografieren. Wer nicht fotografiert werden möchte, gibt dies am Einlass an.

Die Konferenz wird in Audio- und Textform dokumentiert und im Anschluss auf diese Webseite gestellt.

The public urban space is being increasingly commercialized, and rents are rising. This makes it all the more important to actively shape one's own living space. Arts and acivtism in public space in particular continues to shape and change the city.

The Berliner Projektfonds Urbane Praxis (BPUP) has been funding projects of a transdisciplinary urban practice since 2021. The focus is on the interaction between art, culture and urban development. The DRAUSSENSTADT-Call for Action has also supported over 200 outdoor events in Berlin to date.

But who has access to the urban space? Who can, who may, and who should participate in shaping it? How can urban practice contribute to a more just and inclusive urban society?

As a funding programm, we are also moved by this very question of accessibility: Who do we reach with our calls for proposals, and who not? Which needs do we have to focus on in the future in order to concretely break down barriers? A critical and solidary examination of urban practice is necessary for this.

At the STADT_FORMEN conference, we will explore these questions and further develop approaches from different perspectives.

In the long term, we would like to create a space for networking and thus strengthen communication between the various actors from civil society, administration and politics.

Who (doesn't) own the city? Art and disabilities in urban space (EN) | speakers: Kate Brehme and Kirstin Broussard, Berlinklusion

Kate Brehme and Kirstin Broussard present their recent project UNBOUND, Germany’s first accessible and flexible transdisciplinary artist residency program, and reveal the various barriers inherent in the city’s cultural landscape, and what strategies they have used to dismantle them.

You will get to know different approaches to developing cultural areas. A special focus is on the current situation on the Berlin real estate market and political urban development.

2. Accessible event planning and community management (GER) | instructors: Felix Brückner and Elnaz Amiraslani, Initiative Barrierefrei Feiern

In this workshop you will learn how you can make cultural projects accessible to people with physical or sensory disabilities. How do we define an accessible event? What are minimum requirements? The instructors will clarify these questions with you.

3. Agile Urbane Practice (DE) | instructors: Sabine Kroner, Kristin Lazarova and Nina Peters, Urbane Praxis e.V.

The speakers will discuss perspectives from the previous urban practice popUP week. They show the potential and needs of the self-organized network of the Urbane Praxis initiative and discuss with you how cooperation between bottom-up initiatives and administrative structures can be improved.

The building and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Please note that the outside elevator at the stairs to Neckarstraße is currently out of service due to construction work.

COVID: We ask all participants to test themselves in advance at a test center or at the venue. We provide tests free of charge. We will only consider an official test confirmation or the test result performed directly on site.
If possible, please wear a mask.

There will be a retreat room whenever you need to relax.

If needed, childcare will be provided.

Lunch is vegan and vegetarian. Hot and cold drinks will be provided throughout the day.

We will be taking photos at the conference. If you don't want to be photographed, please tell us at the entrance.

The conference will be documented as audio and text and posted on this website afterwards.
